An incurable skin inflammation that makes you feel like a sinner, not a saint.

UNJournal Jon Lee | Itchy, painful skin conditions can be a daily struggle, and there are more than two million people in Korea alone who suffer from them.

From atopic dermatitis to intractable skin and regressive dermatosis, why do these skin diseases occur and why are they so difficult to cure?

If you look around you, you can easily find people who have been living with skin diseases for 10, 20, or 50 years. A common misconception is that skin diseases are contagious. However, only some skin diseases are contagious, such as pathogenic microorganisms, but the vast majority are not.

Nevertheless, preconceived notions and prejudices against people with skin diseases often lead to them being looked at with disgust, having difficulty socializing, and being ostracized within their families.

People with skin diseases are the ones who suffer. Not only do they suffer from itching and pain on a daily basis, but they are also socially shunned.

After spending more than 10 years in the hospital for skin diseases, there is no clear cure, so steroids are the only prescription. However, steroid use for a long time is prohibited because it often causes other side effects in other parts of the body.

There are many skin patients who have tried everything from hospitals to folk remedies because it is not clear why skin diseases occur, both at home and abroad.

Diseases such as hives, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, dry skin, and platinum lead, which are easily seen in dermatology clinics, are not contagious to others, but only suffer from themselves.

But there's good news for those with skin conditions. Lee Jae-hwa, CEO of the Lee Jae-hwa Institute of Alternative Medicine, founded the Natural Healing Center 14 years ago after studying the subject of skin by chance and using his own research.

He says skin diseases are simple. Except for pathogenic viruses, all skin diseases are the same. There are different types of skin diseases, but the treatment methods are the same. So what kind of treatment methods are used?

The answer is that they don't use any Chinese medicine, western medicine, medicines, or cosmetics, but only home-grown cordyceps, which they make together through natural healing experiences and treat themselves according to their own constitution.

Lee Jae-hwa Institute of Alternative Medicine runs the "Right Path Inflammation Skin Healing Center" and trains "skin healing managers" to manage clients who suffer from skin problems.

The center is not a hospital, clinic, or medical facility, but a pure experience room, where the "skin healing managers" guide clients through the process of learning, eating, and applying the products at home.

The "skin healing managers" are family-type experience centers that share their hearts with customers who have suffered from skin diseases and manage them for 90 days of intensive experience and two years of management.

They do not sell or distribute the products. It is only a place where customers can visit in person and learn about their own natural healing that is customized to their constitution.

Lee Jae-hwa, CEO of the Institute of Alternative Medicine, said that he hopes to create a "Korea without skin diseases," adding that he would like to take care of many people, but he is currently limited.

Through the collaboration with The Right Path Company (CEO Choi Jeong-hwa), he hopes to train more "skin healing managers" and bring a little hope to people suffering from skin diseases.
