Korea Enterprises Federation (KEF), led by Chairman Sohn Kyung-shik, invited Japanese Ambassador to Korea Koichi Mizushima to discuss the direction of economic cooperation between Korea and Japan on Nov. 12.
“If Korean and Japanese companies work together to contribute to the stability of the international supply chain and strengthen cooperation in the field of new technologies, it will contribute to global peace and prosperity,” said KEF Chairman Sohn Kyung-shik at a meeting held at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.
“Recently, Korean and Japanese companies have been strengthening cooperation in the fields of digital and eco-friendly technologies, including semiconductors and automobiles,” he said.
Chairman Sohn added, ”It is urgent that both governments provide policy support and active investment so that companies can continue to invest and hire based on a stable supply chain cooperation system.”
The meeting was attended by Chairman Sohn and the KEF senior leadership members, as well as Samsung Electronics President Park Seung-hee, Hanwha CEO Shin Hyun-woo, and Jong Geun-dang Chairman Lee Jang-han. Since 2020, the KEF has been organizing the annual meeting with the Ambassador of Japan to Korea.
