Mayor of Buena Park City, U.S., visits UN Memorial Park in Busan

Laid a wreath at the gravesite of UN soldiers who sacrificed their lives for peace.

Busan Nam-gu announced on March 26 that Mayor Susan Sonne of Buena Park City, USA, visited the United Nations Memorial Park on March 23 and laid a wreath at the gravesite of UN soldiers who sacrificed their lives for world peace.

 

Mayor Susan Sonne said that the UN Memorial Park was one of the places she always wanted to visit when she visited Korea, and she was impressed by how Busan's Nam-gu is also making great efforts to protect world peace, centered on the UN Memorial Park.

 

 

"I hope today's meeting will be an opportunity for the city of Buena Park and Nam-gu to interact in the field of education and culture," said Oh Eun-taek, mayor of Nam-gu.

 

Buena Park is a city in northern Orange County, California, United States. As of the 2020 census its population was 84,034. It is the location of several tourist attractions, including Knott's Berry Farm. It is about 12 miles (20 km) northwest of downtown Santa Ana, the county seat, and is within the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
