The Embassy of Italy in Seoul co-organized the 'Italian Beauty Days' event with the Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Cosmetics Association on April 17-18.

The event, held in Sinsa-dong, Seoul, was organized as a special event of the Made in Italy Day, which commemorates the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Korea.

The event was attended by the Italian Ambassador to Korea Emilia Gatto, Italian Trade Agency Commissioner Ferdinando Gueli, Fabio Franchina, vice chairman of the Italian Cosmetics Association, Valentina Bonecchi, representative of Cosmoprof in Bologna, Korean beauty editors, beauty industry representatives and beauty influencers.

The main event was a 'talk show' where makeup and hair experts presented Italian beauty trends, followed by an 'Italian beauty brand showcase' and 'interactive time'.

"With the Italian beauty industry's growing interest in K-beauty, which is enjoying great success in overseas markets, more and more Italian beauty brands are planning to enter the Korean beauty market," said Ferdinando Gueli, Head of the Italian Trade Agency in Korea.

"We hope that this event will revitalize exchanges between the Korean and Italian beauty industries and provide an opportunity for Korean consumers to try more Italian beauty brands."
