UNJournal Jon Lee |  The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea held an appreciation meeting to recognize partner companies supporting the donation of 35 interactive smartboards to schools and vocational education institutions across Uzbekistan.

 

 

The initiative was organized in commemoration of the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will be celebrated on September 1. It reflects a shared commitment by Uzbekistan and its Korean partners to supporting the younger generation and advancing the digital transformation of education.

 

H.E. Mr. Alisher Abdusalomov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea, delivered remarks at the meeting and expressed his sincere gratitude to the companies and individuals whose support made the project possible.

 

“On September 1, the people of Uzbekistan will celebrate a truly significant occasion—the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” Ambassador Abdusalomov said. “This is one of the most important milestones in our nation’s history and a wonderful opportunity to gather together with our trusted partners and dear friends.”

 

Uzbekistan’s Reforms and Investment in Future Generations

Ambassador Abdusalomov noted that Uzbekistan has undergone extensive and irreversible reforms over the past decade, focusing on the qualitative modernization of its economy, greater openness to the international community, and the comprehensive development of society.

 

He said many Korean partners who had visited Uzbekistan on multiple occasions had witnessed firsthand the country’s rapid progress and dynamic transformation.

 

The Ambassador emphasized that supporting the younger generation remains one of the highest priorities of Uzbekistan’s national policy.

 

“Education provides a strong foundation for the future, and investment in young people yields the most valuable and lasting results,” he said.

 

The 35 advanced interactive smartboards, manufactured by South Korean education technology company AHA, will be delivered to schools and vocational education institutions throughout Uzbekistan.

 

According to the Ambassador, the equipment will make a meaningful and practical contribution to the digital transformation of the country’s education system. It will also give thousands of talented young people greater access to modern educational technologies, advanced learning standards, and new horizons of knowledge.

 

Special Appreciation Extended to AHA and Mr. Koo Gi-do

Ambassador Abdusalomov extended special appreciation to AHA and its representative, Mr. Koo Gi-do, for their exceptional attention and commitment to the project.

 

AHA supported the initiative by providing the smartboards at a preferential 50 percent discount and offering comprehensive assistance with logistics and delivery to Uzbekistan.

 

The Ambassador described AHA’s contribution as “a remarkable example of strong corporate social responsibility and genuine partnership.”

 

The company’s support played a central role in making the project feasible and ensuring that the donated educational equipment could be delivered efficiently to institutions across Uzbekistan.

 

 

Eleven Companies Support Donation of 35 Smartboards

The initiative was made possible through the generous participation of 11 sponsoring companies based in the Republic of Korea.

 

The participating companies and their respective contributions are:

Together, the companies contributed a total of 35 smartboards, symbolically marking the 35th Anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.

 

Ambassador Abdusalomov conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the management and employees of all the participating companies for their generosity and commitment.

 

“Your contribution is more than a noble gesture marking the anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence,” he said. “It represents meaningful and practical support for the country’s younger generation and makes a valuable contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship and strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.”

 

 

A New Model of Korea-Uzbekistan Educational Cooperation

The smartboard donation project represents a meaningful example of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Korean business community in education, digital innovation, and corporate social responsibility.
