The Jeollanam-do Provincial Assembly signed a friendship and exchange agreement with the Supreme Council of the Karakalpakstan Republic of Uzbekistan to strengthen cooperation between the two parliaments.

The meeting was organized in response to the Uzbekistan Supreme Council of Karakalpakstan's willingness to visit and exchange.

The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Tae-gyun, Speaker of the Jeollanam-do Provincial Assembly, and more than 10 people, including the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and embassy officials, including the First Secretary of the Uzbek Embassy in Seoul.

During the exchange of opinions prior to the signing ceremony, Chairman Amanbai Orinbayev gave a brief introduction to Karakalpakstan and promoted support policies such as tax reductions for various sectors such as agriculture and construction, and requested Jeollanam-do's interest and participation.

“Thank you for your hospitality, and I hope this exchange will be a great opportunity for Jeollanam-do to fully utilize the potential of the Republic of Karakalpakstan,” said Orinbayev, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

“I hope that this agreement will help the development of both regions,” said Speaker Kim Tae-gyun. ”Let's continue exchanges so that we can cooperate in various fields such as resources, labor, and agriculture.”

In the future, the Jeollanam-do Provincial Assembly and the Supreme Council of the Karakalpakstan Republic plan to build cooperation and mutual development in various fields such as economy, culture, and agriculture.
